NFW Party & Call For Nashville Emerging Designer 2016

NFW Party & Call For Nashville Emerging Designer 2016

If you ever scoffed at the idea of "must have" garments (like I once did) this outfit should change your mind. I got all three pieces from one of my favorite shops, Couture for a Cause - which means half of the profits went towards local charities. The reason I got dressed up in the first place was to attend the early kickoff party for Nashville Fashion Week 2016 at 5th and Taylor.  The dates for the 2016 shows were announced, as was the call for applicants for next year's regional Emerging Designer and 2015 Nashville Fashion Forward Fund.

Bloggers At Midlife Conference 2015

How do you feel about moving out of your comfort zone and taking chances? Would you be at ease in a room full of women your own age, talking about the things we have in common? Are you willing to share more about your authentic self - warts and all - in order to be connected to the people around you? Until recently, I would have said "no" to those questions (I'm still not sure about the last one). But this weekend I got the opportunity to take part in a gathering that has really changed the way I see myself and others.
