Tickets for Boundless 2018, Nashville's only truly inclusive fashion runway show, are officially on sale! This event is the culmination of everything I work for as Executive Director of Fashion is for Every Body. C'mon out and celebrate the Transformative Power of Fashion with me. I also had the privilege of being interviewed by Kristen Chapman Gibbons on abrasive Media's blog about what inspired my interest in fashion, where it's taken me and why I want everyone to experience the gift it has given me. It's a far cry from the curated li(f)e that bloggers are encouraged to represent.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Vacation may be the wrong word because I don't feel very rested. I spent the majority of my Summer working on Fashion is for Every Body/Empower Tennessee's Boundless fashion show, which took place on September 9th. I've been doing some styling and consulting about the future of diversity in fashion. Non-sample-sized and those with disabilities, there's hope. I even got to talk a little bit about my whole journey into fashion-awareness on WSM radio, which broadcasts right out of the Opryland Hotel.

Boundless

Remember Fashion is for Every Body's runway show last year? Well, it's back in a bigger, better, even more inclusive iteration called Boundless. This year, Fashion is for Every Body is partnering with Empower Tennessee, a local organization promote opportunities for people with disabilities to strive for greater independence, to produce the show. Pre-sale, discounted tickets are available for a limited time. One of our models used the confidence she gained from being a part of Fashion is for Every Body to speak out against a social injustice at her own high school. Read Ashley's story in her own words.

Fashion Is For Every Body: We Did It

If you're reading this you probably know that I spend a lot of my time swimming upstream and contradicting stereotypes. I've been called fiesty, firey, bitchy, stubborn, ballsy, badass, leader and queen (among other things). Last week I got to add co-founder, co-producer and runway model for Nashville's first inclusive fashion show to the mix.

I'm going to spend the Summer showing off Nashville's fashion shows and events - and, hopefully convincing you to help me make my own inclusive fashion show a reality this Fall. Last month I introduced you to Llynda More Boots, the boots that accommodate my curvy calves. Today I get to share a pair of socks that fit every body. Several weeks ago I was contacted by Natasha of Dressing Room 8 and introduced to Xpandasox, who sent me a pair of Fairisle Blue socks to try.

It's no secret that it's close to impossible for me to find knee-high boots that fit properly. Wide feet and calves coupled with petite proportions make for hours of trying on boots with little to no success. But I have found a clever, beautiful solution to my problem. One that all of you can benefit from as well. A boot for virtually every woman.
