Fashion Friday: Desperately Seeking Audrey

This week I wanted to do something fun and flirty yet chic and timeless. The idea came to me as I was watching "Desperately Seeking Susan" one day and "Breakfast At Tiffany's" several days later. It struck me how fashion forward and iconic both Madonna and Audrey Hepburn were for their respective generations. I decided to use some of the fun elements of the 80's, the Pink Wayfarers, the Malene Birger Cirkella Bangles, the Kenneth Jay Lane Multi-Shape Pink and Orange Dangle Earrings, and a Brahmin Marilyn Polka Dot Back Pack as an homage to Madonna. To marry this with Hepburn's classic sense of style I chose a White Forever New Sophia Polka Dot Dress, Oroton Pink Bowed Ballet Flats, and a Bow-Accent Striped Visor Hat. To complete the look we have my favorite Black with White Polka Dot Crutches from Coolcrutches.com.

Susan Go-Lightly? Maybe not, but close enough for me to wear without feeling like I'm stuck in my youth or doomed to middle-aged frump.
