One Well-Placed Flower
Can be the saving grace for a ruined garment.
I love this navy, black and white CristinaV dress. I bought it on sale last year for $19.99 at Stein Mart. It used to have a faux oval-shaped brooch made up of three rows of rhinestones just south of the bustline. I wore it once then carefully hand washed it and, to my horror, the rhinestone oval fell apart. More than half of the stones fell off, leaving what looked like an unfinished mess. I collected them and put them away with the thought that I would figure out how to reattach them someday.
But I didn't need to. Several months ago one of my favorite people, the ever ebulliant BellaQ, gave her 'net besties first dibs on several items including a vintage black and white floral pin. When I saw it I knew it was a perfect fix for my wardrobe malfunction - and I think I was right.
I piled on a lot of bracelets because I love the wear lots of baubles with my long sleeved dresses. Most of them you've seen before, the silver and blue ring was a gift, procured from The Frist Center's gift shop. You're going to see a lot more of the Betsey Johnson bag because it's so perfect. It has many easy to reach pockets and zippers and I would've bought two if I could've. The Mia flats are from Shi and are easily the most comfortable flats I've ever worn. It honestly feels like I'm practically barefoot.
Lots of linkups this week starting of course with Visible Monday , Monday Mingle, Shiny T Tuesday and Anne Bray's 52-pick-up.
