Woodland Street Date Night

I'm having a grand time exploring new neighborhoods in Nashville. There are many areas that have been in dire need of some TLC and sense of community. One of these areas is East Nashville. Some of Music City's most creative entrepreneurs have transformed this neighborhood into a vibrant, thriving area filled with shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The buildings have been repurposed, and in many cases made handicapped accessible, while respecting the architectural integrity of the area.

My better half and I recently spent an early evening exploring Woodland Street in East Nashville. I loved the quirky charm of the area, and I'm not alone. There were many people taking long, leisurely walks down the street. Some had their dogs in tow, some were pushing strollers, none were in a hurry. There's something so welcoming, so cozy, about the place. I was especially taken with the little wedding chapel. It got me thinking about my 25th anniversary, which is next year. I was always more interested in being together than I was in the actual wedding, As a result, my better half and I didn't exactly have the wedding of our dreams - and that was fine. But I wonder now if we shouldn't do something more to our liking for our Silver Anniversary. 

It's something to consider. What do you think? I'm entertaining any and all advice and feedback on the subject.

But I digress. We were in the neighborhood to have dinner at Lockeland Table. Chef Holden-Bache recently won the local Iron Fork event so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, and I wasn't disappointed. But the restaurant really deserves it's own post, which means I have to go back, doesn't it?

I'm wearing a Baccini denim blazer, my beloved Nashville tank by Straw Castle Design, and purple Michael Kors skinny jeans I found for less than $20. They are my new favorite pants. Unless you count the indigo pair I also brought for the same price. Jewelry is from Stitch Fix, Stella and Dot and The Hard Rock St Louis respectively.
