Stacey Rhodes Boutique & NFW Countdown
A few weeks ago in the BAM Bloggers At Midlife Attendees Guide to Nashville I briefly introduced you to Stacey Rhodes and her beautiful boutique. Let's take a closer look today.
If you’re looking for the very latest in edgy, elegant fashion then this is the place. Stacey’s fashion sense is ageless and always on point. Rhodes’ inventory includes pieces from Amanda Uprichard, Abi Ferrin and SW3 Bespoke – designer’s featured during last year’s Nashville Fashion Week – as well as exquisite bags by this year’s Nashville Fashion Forward Fund recipient Ceri Hoover,
The boutique provides local TV personality Kacy Hagerty’s wardrobe, and Emmylou Harris, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift all shop here - and it's easy to see why they do so. Rhodes background and experience culminate in the curation of pieces and collections that are hard to resist. She carries clothing and accessories that make women look beautiful and classy. There are some great investment pieces here that are worth splurging for.
Stacey Rhodes is a shining example of a successful 40+ woman. Her boutique a thriving go-to for Nashvillians, and she actively hosts or participates in numerous charities that benefit the community. She's also a genuinely nice person - and that's a rare find these days. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and it won't be my last.
But...right now the countdown to Nashville Fashion Week begins in earnest. It's been exactly one month since I wrote about the Kickoff Party . Since then the schedule has slowly been taking shape. This year's opening night will showcase seven of Nashville's designers at Acme Feed and Seed. The lineup includes my dear friend and fashion ally Amanda Valentine. I can't wait for the world to see her couture collection!
In the next few weeks I'm going to put up more information, as well as some teasers of what I'll be wearing to NFW2015. But, this year my attendance will depend entirely on you, my blog fans and friends. This time around, only the bloggers that generate the most traffic to the site, either by clicking the graphic for Nashville Fashion Week at the top of my sidebar or by liking or sharing on Facebook or retweeting on Twitter, will be considered. The highest ranking bloggers will be awarded Media Passes to the events.
Despite my disability I consider myself to be a fairly independent person, and as such, find that asking for help doesn't come easily. That's because having to ask for assistance implies a vulnerability I'm not comfortable with, and it puts my fate in some one else's hands. It seems a trivial thing, asking to attend a fashion show. But it's really a fundamental part of my mission for visibility and social acceptance of people with disabilities. I hope you'll take a moment to click - and, if you're local, consider buying a ticket. You can purchase tickets for individual events as well as all-access passes. The one thing I can promise you is it's a fun and exciting experience, so c'mon out!
