Talent is not diluted by circumstances or eclipsed by someone else's shadow. It endures, waiting for the right moment to emerge again - because, of course, it never left. For Manny Cuevas that moment is back on the horizon. He will soon be re-launching his label, Wear It Out by Manny, with a fresh take on iconic wardrobe staples all with his trademark style. I've seen the sketches and the pieces are undeniably chic, yet retain that edginess so prevalent in the editorial runway lines.
Read MoreI just love it when I get to showcase a local shop I'm excited about. Until recently I hadn't even heard of Little Luna Vintage . Then shop manager and stylist Brittany Gargis and I started running into each other on a regular basis at various events, and she convinced me I had to come in. I'm so glad I did.

Last week I attended an event honoring Nashville Magazine’s best dressed featuring fashions for the upcoming season in a live model installation, cocktails, and music. The event left me thinking about the concepts of fashion and style, especially in terms of blogging.
Read MoreThe second week of April Nashville celebrated it's fourth Fashion Week - and, thanks to all of you, I was there to see it all. I have a lot to say about the designers I met, the friends I made, and the runway shows and events. But first we're going to talk about what I wore to the events. Read MoreThis is not the blog post I wanted to write today. It's the holiday season, and I want to help you get into the spirit and share all of the great Nashville-based goodies that should be on your wish-lists or under your trees. Instead, I'm cuddled up with my oldest dog, Sasha, watching her go through what appears to be the last stages of liver cancer. Praying that I won't lose her over the holidays (and knowing I likely will).
Read MoreIn my travels around Nashville I'm increasingly coming in contact with wonderful creatives and entrepreneurs who are so passionate about what they're doing they can't help but be successful. Take Patricia Apple, founder of Couture for a Cause. She had a vision for a nonprofit resale boutique where donors select a local nonprofit that benefits from the sale of their donated, high-end clothing. Shoppers them have the opportunity to buy on trend pieces for a fraction of retail prices while helping charities in Nashville.
