Changing Perceptions

The outfit, is basic, classic and neutral. That doesn't mean it's frumpy or boring. Neither am I, nor am I brave, lazy, or an opportunist because of my disability. These are perceptions that need to change. This is the year we change Nashville's perceptions about people with disabilities in a big, big way. Couture For A Cause

In my travels around Nashville I'm increasingly coming in contact with wonderful creatives and entrepreneurs who are so passionate about what they're doing they can't help but be successful. Take Patricia Apple, founder of Couture for a Cause. She had a vision for a nonprofit resale boutique where donors select a local nonprofit that benefits from the sale of their donated, high-end clothing. Shoppers them have the opportunity to buy on trend pieces for a fraction of retail prices while helping charities in Nashville.
