Xpandasox Revisited

Last November I introduced you to a fabulously clever and stylish hosiery brand called Xpandasox. What's different about these socks is they are not just fashionable. They're also incredibly versatile because they are designed to accommodate calves up to 24" in diameter. Read my original post about Xpandasox that I styled with an Amanda Valentine tunic, and this outfit is also featured in their 2016 lookbook.

The concept of an expandable calf was originally conceived for plus-sized and athletic women with wide, muscular calves. But Xpandasox has earned a place in the adaptive clothing market by serving the needs of people with lymphedema (swelling most commonly caused by the removal of or damage to your lymph nodes as a part of cancer treatment) and lipedema (a chronic disease characterized by bilateral, symmetrical fatty tissue excess, combined with a tendency for leg swelling that worsens with standing). They're also perfect during pregnancy or when traveling and as a cover-up for leg casts, braces, and bandages.

That's why Xpandasox has launched a Facebook page called Learning to Love Our Legs Again, to provide a place where body positivity is supported, encouraged and celebrated in everyone. Every body; just like Fashion is for Every Body. Isn't it fantastic?

Xpandasox are the only knee socks I've owned that aren't a struggle for me to put on and don't bind once they're in place. And they look cool, which is an absolute must for me.
