Amanda Valentine: Bond Villain Badass
I never pass up an opportunity to wear Amanda Valentine - and neither should you.
Eclipse Pants (sold out)
White Faux Fur (vintage)
Black Turtleneck (Goodwill)
Tori Burch Boots (Goodwill)
When I wore this outfit to a party and my friend Andrew Clancey told me I looked like a Bond villain I knew it needed to be photographed. Black and white is a classic combination but a little color goes a long way towards a lean, retro vibe. It's a high compliment for Amanda, who color-blocking and clean lines aesthetic does wonders for so many women regardless of age or size. If she can make me look like a badass imagine how good you'll look in her pieces.
Speaking of Valentines I've got a Galentines treat for all my Nashville followers. I'm giving away two tickets to the Vagina Monologues benefitting Act Like a GRRRL on Friday, February 16th, 7 pm at City Winery.
Act Like a GRRRL is an annual four-week autobiographical writing program for girls aged 12-18 offering the space and support for young women to gain a public voice, work with professional female mentors in a variety of creative fields, and foster friendships with peers from diverse backgrounds. Rooted in the exercise of writing to articulate one's personal experiences and beliefs, the program is augmented by guest artist workshops in performance, dance, and multicultural studies and ends in a performance by the GRRRls themselves.
To enter, leave a comment below along with your name and email address and tell me why you'd like to see the show. I'll pick a winner on Wednesday night and announce it on my Facebook page.
By the way, I've had so many positive inquiries about my Atelier !919 blazer I've become a brand ambassador for their line. If you're interested in getting your own custom, made-to-measure blazer I can help you with the process. Just email me at Spashionista and I'll hook you up.
