Ikat Figure This Scarf Thing Out

I know, I'm really pushing the pun-velope. But seriously, even though I adore scarves I've never quite known what to do with them. I always felt like they added bulk to my already very prominent chest. So I'm revisiting the reluctance to wear scarves I shared in I'm So Metal I'm Fearless. Thanks to Une Femme D'Un Certain Age's wonderful scarf tying tutorials on YouTube I thought I'd attempt to add scarves to my accessories repertoire.

Here I am again at Opry Mills on a movie date, taking my better half to see Iron Man III and mugging for photos at the brand new The Limited store. I found that black denim Cato jacket at my local Goodwill and the white Max Studio eyelet skirt at TJ Maxx. Together they make the perfect canvas for the colorful Ikat scarf from Shi. Ikat is the current trendy pattern and I love the muted tones in this version. I added the colorful bangle from Stein Mart and black and white polka dot Mary Jane flats from Forever 21 to complete the look.
