Fall Fashion Bash
A few months ago I was contacted by Sunny Fitz, owner and creator of the Sunnyband empire. We've become fast friends, and I'll bring you and in-depth interview with her in a few weeks. I promise it'll be worth the wait, because Sunny and I are going to give you a chance to win one of her whimsical pieces.

For the past three years Sunnybands has hosted an event called Fall Fashion Bash. The shindig was held at Nashville's Play Dance Bar and featured signature cocktails, prizes from local businesses, and a runway show featuring Pomp, Daisy Alexandria Designs, and Pura Vida Vintage. Of course, all the models sported a headband, hippyband, or fascinator designed by Sunny herself.
In the spirit of what makes this town great Sunny held a raffle for the evening's prizes and donated those proceeds, plus half of the sales from Sunnybands, to the Pura Vida Vintage fire relief fund. PVV owner Krystle Ramos and Sunny are longtime friends so there was no question that the evening would turn into a benefit. You see, because of it's irreplacable nature vintage clothing is prohibitively expensive to insure, so the damage to Pura Vida's inventory will not be compensated - at least not without our help. Please give if you can.
I'm wearing the first of several pieces you'll soon see from Gwynnie Bee. It's a pretty, whimsical IGIGI dress - but it is far too big and too long for me. I'm completely taped into the top (thanks Melissa Watkins of FabGlance for suggesting fashion tape, and Amanda Valentine for upping it to toupee tape, which is much stronger) and by the end of the evening I was literally coming unglued. I paired it with my skull clutch from Shi and my red Chelsea Crew T-Strap shoes. A little neutral bling - and, of course, a black and white Sunnyband - complete the look.
I couldn't resist posting a picture of my better half in his authentic vintage Soundgarden Tee and pinstriped jacket. In continuing with Disability Awareness Month I wanted to give a nod to the man that is responsible for me getting anywhere and everywhere I have to go. I can't drive and I live on the rural outskirts of town, just outside the county line, so there are no buses I can catch. Even the Disabled Social Services transport will not cross the county line, and my electric chair is far too unwieldy for most vehicles. As a result I can't really go anywhere on my own.
Could you handle being completely dependent on somebody else for transportation?
