Three Unique Nashville Jewelry Artisans

Jewelry; the perfect gift to give that special friend or family member - and an even better gift to receive. Just in time for your holiday shopping, I want to introduce you to three very different, extremely talented local jewelry artisans that are sure to enthrall, enchant, and satisfy all your gift-giving needs.

Margaret Ellis Jewelry

If the same sounds familiar, it should. Jewelry designer Margaret Ellis opened the shop in 1983 and Mclaine Richardson took over 30 years later.  Richardson is the one responsible for bringing us Amanda Valentine's Roman Holiday collection, and her own designs are truly beautiful. There is a simplicity of form that highlights the meticulous attention to detail and perfect - yes, perfect - execution. The pieces are clean and modern with lots of classic references. In short, they reflect Mclaine's personality. I got a  chance to shop the Holiday Sample Sale in person and was able to score the lovely necklace I'm wearing in these photos. The store will get it's own dedicated post in early 2015. In the meantime, locals can shop the Sample Sale online as well as at the studio until December 13th. If you're lucky you'll get to meet Mclaine's mother Connie Richardson, one of the founders of Nashville Fashion Week. Vivacious Connie is her daughter's biggest fan, and she and I a get along so well we might be dangerous together.

You've already seen some of Elizabeth Cooke's vintage-inspired, hand-made jewelry earlier this year on the blog. But you haven't seen the piece that was created for me as a gift from my better half. I've included a photo of the necklace as a work in progress so you can see how  skillfully, and beautifully, it was put together. The finished product is a testament to her skill as an artisan and a great reflection of my personality. Visit her site on Ruby Lane and get a piece or two; better yet, commission one for yourself.

Daisy Alexandria creates jewelry from everything and anything she can get her hands on. I was hooked on her designs from the moment I saw them at the Fall Fashion Bash. A true bohemian, and one of the kindest souls I've ever met, I've been to her studio and marveled at her inventiveness. There are so many unique and very affordable pieces it can be hard to choose - but I managed. I have an ID reminiscent bracelet with the words "Embrace Imperfection" stamped on it, as well as the two necklaces pictured above.  All as different from each other as they can be, but all beautiful just the same. You can find Daisy Alexandria Designs on Facebook and Etsy

The logo and website have been freshened up a bit. I hope you like the new look! Linking up this week with Monday Mingle, Creative MondaysStyle to InspireShare In Style. and Reasons To Dress
