Fashion For A Fraction Fall 2014

Nashville has many wonderful boutiques filled with the latest styles from the nation's top designers. Some of them are physically inaccessible (at least for now. I'm working on changing that) and some of them are beyond my budget.

Fortunately, twice a year the Nashville Scene - Music City's finest weekly publication - sponsors Fashion for a Fraction, an event that gives area boutiques the opportunity to come together in a common location and clear out their seasonal clothing. It also means I can peruse multiple boutique booths, shop til I drop, and actually purchase some higher-end pieces without busting my budget.

This time around the roster included booths from SOCA, UAL, J McLaughlin, Stella & Dot, Merry Blu Boutique, E Allen, D Marlene Jewelry, The French Shoppe, and Gus Meyer. As you can see from the photos there was so much great merchandise to choose from, and all at unbeatable prices. I did a once-around before settling on the white open cardigan you see me wearing from The French Shoppe. I also bought two great pieces from my friend Bobbi Jo at Gus Meyer - that's her pretty face beside mine in the last photo - but I'm keeping those a secret for now. You'll see them in the future, as well as a dedicated post for D Marlene Jewelry. I've included links to all of the websites so you can do a little Nashville boutique shopping from wherever you happen to be.

In addition to the white cardi I'm wearing my Rock Rose Classic Paris tank from Trunk and a vintage 90's denim fringe hi-lo skirt from Pura Vida Vintage. Joining Share in Style: Skirt or Trousers, Monday Mingle, Style to Inspire, and Creative Mondays
