Small Business Saturday Shopping Guide

Small Business Saturday in Nashville is the best excuse I know to give my holiday business to the boutiques and shops that are redefining fashion and style in Music City. The city is filled with stores that cater to every taste imaginable. There's something for everyone here, so I thought I'd give you a guide of sorts to some of Nashville's most unique shops - just in case you'd like to drop by or visit them online.

Fashion For A Fraction Fall 2014

Nashville has many wonderful boutiques filled with the latest styles from the nation's top designers. Some of them are physically inaccessible (at least for now. I'm working on changing that) and some of them are beyond my budget. Fortunately, twice a year the Nashville Scene - Music City's finest weekly publication - sponsors Fashion for a Fraction, an event that gives area boutiques the opportunity to come together in a common location and clear out their seasonal clothing.

Music City Trunk Tee

I love Trunk. I really do. Nashville's premier clothing truck (think boutique on wheels) is one of my favorite Music City clothing spots. I love it so much I'm going to do a big feature on it in the near future. But, just like last week's post, today it's all about the tee.

Porter Flea Pictorial

I spent last Saturday morning at Porter Flea for Summer 2014, which was held at Track 1 in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Porter Flea is an artisan market showcasing the best of Nashville's modern handmade apparel and accessories, home goods, furniture, jewelry, prints, posters, paper goods, as well as packaged consumable goods from several local makers, millers, and bakers.

Who doesn't love a day at the flea market? If you've been reading Spashionista.com for any length of time you know that casual doesn't mean dumpy, and while it's true that I looked very dressed-up compared to the majority of folks around me I was incredibly underdressed for my favorite booth.

Best Looks on NFW Closing Night

The closing night runway shows for NFW 2014 may have been last but they certainly weren't least. I added a few of the evening's looks to my Nashville Fashion Week 2014 Pinterest board. Here are my favorites, along with my observations about how well these designs would fare with my readers.

Thank You Nashville Fashion Community

This has been such an amazing week for me. I'm utterly, ecstatically exhausted. If there was ever any doubt about Nashville's growing influence and popularity as a fashion mecca for the South it was laid to rest by my experiences and interactions with Music City's fashion community.
