Porter Flea Pictorial
I spent last Saturday morning at Porter Flea for Summer 2014, which was held at Track 1 in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Porter Flea is an artisan market showcasing the best of Nashville's modern handmade apparel and accessories, home goods, furniture, jewelry, prints, posters, paper goods, as well as packaged consumable goods from several local makers, millers, and bakers.
I wasn't able to make the Friday night preview event so my better half and I made our way early Saturday morning. It took us a while to find a place to park because there was no open handicapped parking for blocks. C'mon, Nashville, you're better than this.
Inside Trunk
The Trunk truck was parked just outside the entrance. They aren't accessible, but they have a brick and mortar storefront that is, and they're good about bringing me things from inside the truck to ogle. My only purchase at Porter Flea was from Trunk, and the physical store will have it's own blog post soon.

Track 1 was spacious and very accessible. It did look to be somewhat unfinished and the air conditioner was no match for the hordes of shoppers that packed the venue. Consequently, it was very hot in there.
Wink Wink Eyewear
There were so many vendors with extraordinary merchandise - far more than I could show here - and many that will have their own dedicated blog posts and my business in the near future. If you can't wait (and you shouldn't) just click on the links to visit their websites.
The Grilled Cheeserie and other food trucks
Not to be outdone, Nashville's famous food trucks provided lunch options for those that braved the long lines.
There are more pictures of me. Some of them I've held to use with the dedicated vendor's posts. Just wait til you see me mugging with some of Wink Wink Eyewear's frames, which is definitely where my next pair of specs is coming from. But it was easily over 90 degrees in that space, and I was having a high pain day, so I wasn't in great form. I don't talk about being in pain so I forget that my readers have no idea when it's bad, like it was on this day. I also completely spazzed and didn't get a picture with Kimmie Jones, one of my favorite people on the planet and author of That Girl in the Wheelchair. She and her boyfriend were coming in just as my better half and I were eaving
Let's talk about the outfit instead. It's pretty basic and very budget conscious. Style&Co jeans via Music City Thrift, black embellished tank and necklace courtesy of Forever 21, bangles from nancybgoods, cotton jacket from several Summers ago at Stein Mart, Spring Step wedges deeply discounted at DSW, and Olivia and Joy satchel from TJ Maxx.
