The Good We Can Do

This world could use our help, dont'cha think?

Tiny But Mighty is a non-profit that raises money to help homeless animals in Nashville, Tn. Instead of focusing on heart-wrenching sadness the annual fundraiser uses light-hearted humor to solicit donations for the Nashville Humane Association. Area pets are "arrested" for various crimes, pose for mugshots and hope to "make bail" (the minimum contribution in their name).

Marmi Shoes Revisited

Last year I introduced you to Marmi shoes, a store that features extended sizes and alternate widths. They specialize in fashionable, European influenced footwear and accessories, including Italian brands Vaneli and Sesto Meucci in sizes 4-13 and Super-Slim to Wide widths. These Kaila boots by Vaneli are an edgy, Italian take on a cowboy boot. They come in narrow, medium and wide widths - which means I can wear them comfortably - and, c'mon, they're just gorgeous!

Fashion Is For Every Body: We Did It

If you're reading this you probably know that I spend a lot of my time swimming upstream and contradicting stereotypes. I've been called fiesty, firey, bitchy, stubborn, ballsy, badass, leader and queen (among other things). Last week I got to add co-founder, co-producer and runway model for Nashville's first inclusive fashion show to the mix.

ALTER UR EGO Jeans

The story behind Kentucky-based brand ALTER UR EGO is as remarkable as the jeans themselves. That's right, adaptive fashion will be right there in the mix with Nashville's designer clothing.

Do you even know what adaptive clothing is? Designers like Izzy Camilleri are changing the face of adaptive clothing forever with IZ Collection. Canadian couturier Camilleri has dressed some pretty impressive people - including David Bowie (talk about serendipity!) - so her designs are fashionable and functional.

Xpandasox Revisited

Last November I introduced you to a fabulously clever and stylish hosiery brand called Xpandasox. Read my original post about Xpandasox that I styled with an Amanda Valentine tunic, and this outfit is also featured in their 2016 lookbook. The concept of an expandable calf was originally conceived for plus-sized and athletic women with wide, muscular calves. But Xpandasox has earned a place in the adaptive clothing market as well.

Baciano

As big as I am on shopping locally whenever possible, sometimes circumstances dictate otherwise. Los Angeles based clothier Baciano recently contacted me to try two pieces - the Mallory and the Eleanor -  from their online collection and do a little show-and-tell for my readers. I received these pieces for free to showcase and review, but the opinions are my own.
