Golden Sunset In The Park
It's full-on Summer here in Nashville, which means it's hot; very hot. Hot enough to confine outdoor activities to early evening. The retreat of the sun behind the hills leaves everything bathed in the golden glow of sunset.
This is the Warner Parks in Bellevue. We used to live within walking distance, and are still fairly close. It's a beautiful stretch of land that includes a dog park, scenic roadways and overlooks, hiking trails, equestrian center and horse trails, cross country running courses, golf courses, and athletic fields. The lush landscape provides a canopied respite from the heat of the day and takes on a saturated quality at sunset. A perfect backdrop for pictures of a casual stroll at dusk. My first one through this park since I got my electric wheelchair.
The Old Navy cropped denim jacket was a steal at $15 and is still a hallmark of Nashville style. It's paired with Macy's Style&Co bootcut black denim jeans, a white tank from Costco, and a polka-dotted racerback Tee from Forever 21. The white high-heeled Ed Hardy sneakers are as comfy as they are fun, and the "Queen" and celestial pins are a great embellishment for the utilitarian jacket. The Mucha art charm bracelet was the perfect Christmas gift for a fangirl like me.
Happy Summer everyone. Enjoy the warmth of the season.
