Elegant Ladies Spring Into Fashion Show

We all know that Nashville fashion encompasses so much more than five days in April. The 5th annual Elegant Ladies Spring Into Fashion Show took place last night at Rocketown. Elegant Ladies Foundation is a local non-profit whose mission includes assisting  three deserving Tennessee high school graduating seniors with  preparation from high school to college. Here are some highlights from the evening.

See You At Nashville Fashion Week

This will be my fourth year attending Nashville Fashion Week.  I'm proud to say I'm the first wheelchair-dependent person to attend NFW. I owe a good chunk of my closet to designers whose pieces I first saw on the catwalk of Nashville Fashion Week. The experience has never been a passive one for me, and I'm grateful for that. If you're debating whether or not you should invest in going this year there are even more options available that let you customize your experience to include exactly what you think you'd like to see.

Eric Adler Clothing & Alterations

I didn't know Eric Adler Bornhop personally when I first wrote about him, and I have to admit I was (and continue to be) in awe of his talent. Area pets are "arrested" for various crimes, pose for mugshots and hope to "make bail" (the minimum contribution in their name).

They come in narrow, medium and wide widths - which means I can wear them comfortably - and, c'mon, they're just gorgeous!

Fashion Is For Every Body: We Did It

If you're reading this you probably know that I spend a lot of my time swimming upstream and contradicting stereotypes. I've been called fiesty, firey, bitchy, stubborn, ballsy, badass, leader and queen (among other things). Last week I got to add co-founder, co-producer and runway model for Nashville's first inclusive fashion show to the mix.

Details On Wheels: Shoes, Bags & Accessories

Lately, it seems the Universe is steering my message in a specific direction, so I'm doing my best to thankfully, joyously go with the flow. Check out my latest article as Disability Horizons resident Fashion Guru. This time it's about what accessories can do to add trendiness and personality to your outfits. As always, the advice is geared toward wheelchair users but can apply to anyone.
