It's not for lack of interest on my part, nor is it because I think less of any of you. Quite the contrary.

So here's my take on it: The sentiment is that of fond remembrance and acknowledgement that time and tide may separate us, and experiences may change us, but we should never forget the people and events that have made us who we are today.
