Saints and Sinners Pictorial

Remember my tour through Riverwood Mansion? Well, here's the event that was the reason to check out the venue in the first place; Saints and Sinners.

Hosted by 12th & Broad, Saints and Sinners gave us all a chance to choose between the seven deadly sins or the seven holy virtues in an interactive manner. Each room of the Mansion was set up to feature each vice and it's polar opposite. Guests were encouraged to eat, drink and play games, along with many opportunities to get in shape and donate time, money, or unwanted items to their community. We were also encouraged to, "wear red if you're a sinner or white if you're a saint".

As you can see, I'm wearing far more red than white. Through sheer luck I stumbled upon a Ralph Lauren body-con dress in fire engine red. I paired with a white faux-fur jacket. red vintage inspired Chelsea Crew T-strap heels, my one-of-a-kind Daisy Alexandria Designs necklace, and "Cherry Bomb" clutch. I even got a sparkly new red cowl for my chair - and some lights as well.

Here are some highlights from this extraordinarily clever, totally successful event.

I can attest to the fact that everyone around me was having a fantastic time. The food and drink was top-notch and I met so many interesting people, as well  as catching up with friends I've had the pleasure of talking to and working with over the past year. I also learned so much about what Nashville has to offer in terms of volunteer and support organization, not to mention new places to eat and interests to share with others. I'm looking forward to focusing on these individually here on the blog as I am able to visit them over time.

I can't close without again mentioning how accommodating the staff at Riverwood Mansion were. In fact, management has asked for my input in improving the venue's accessibility even further. And they weren't the only business asking. The Chef and I realized their building is accessible, but their tables aren't, and seemed eager to provide at least one accessible table soon. If they do I can add them to my list of restaurants to visit and cover for you. That really did make my night.
