Party At Tiffany's

The holidays are winding down for most of us. The halls have been decked and the presents unwrapped; treats consumed and stretchy pants donned. Not so much over here. Three days before Christmas my better half got knocked flat by a full-blown bout of the flu.  hankfully I had a flu shot so I didn't catch it, but it meant our plan to wait until the last minute to get our Yule-tide act together fell as flat on it's back as he did. That doesn't mean my entire holiday season was a bust. Last week I promised you some party pics. Have a look at these.

Last Minute Gift Ideas

Otherwise known as the Christmas Crunch. Let's face it. Christmas is next Thursday; Hannukah starts day-after-tomorrow. If you don't have your gift-giving act together by now you'd better focus. Amanda Valentine/Margaret Ellis Jewelry

If you're a fan of Project Runway you already know that my friend Amanda Valentine came oh-so-close to winning it all with her Fall 2014 collection. Valentine has really found her point of view as a designer and her voice as one of Music City's creatives. She collaborated with fellow Nashvillian McLaine Richardson, owner of Margaret Ellis Jewelry, to create the Roman Holiday jewelry collection.

Gothic Circus

Right now I want to show you some highlights from Any Old Iron's debut fashion show in Nashville's East Ivy Mansion.

Gwynnie Bee

Have you heard of Gwynnie Bee - the clothing rental company that carries sizes 10-32 and lets you select garments to try for as long as you like? Gwynnie Bee has been on my radar for a while now. The concept of renting clothing for a monthly fee through the mail and then having the opportunity to buy pieces you love would be ideal for me and any woman who has time or transportation constraints. Last month I finally signed up for a 30-day free trial. Here are some of the highlights.
